I could not match anyone I have seen for intensity and vulnerability, wanting what every person wants, to be loved and respected. I actively searched her out afterwards to see what other movies she was in. I'm thinking of showing the movie to my wife, what a performance, to think that was almost 80 years ago. It's hard to feel emotionally attached to a character, but she played it so well , it left me wanting to see more of Wendy's work. Shaw was right in casting her, she was terrific, applauding you, Wendy. Thank you. I hope you are playing Eliza in heaven where she lives happily ever after, with Freddy, someone who may have seemed simple, but didn't hide his feelings for her.scott_mpi@hotmail.canoreply@blogger.com
